Motels to Home Program

HOPE Atlanta offers a special program, “Motels to Home,” to move families out of motels or hotels and into stable, permanent housing. While families in the program are responsible for their own rent, we help connect them to affordable housing options and provide other resources — like deposit and utility assistance — to set them up for success.

Program Requirements​

We’re currently accepting new clients from South Fulton, Clayton, Dekalb, and Cobb counties who meet the following criteria:

  • Have legal guardianship of at least one school-aged child (4-18 years old)

  • Have resided in a motel/hotel for at least the past 30 days, plus receipt with household name.

  • Have income and ability to pay rent in full after initial assistance.

  • Complete all intake documents with case manager and submit all other required documentation in a timely fashion.

  • Willingness to maintain contact with case manager and attend case management session.

  • Serving South Fulton, Clayton, Dekalb, and Cobb counties.

  • ID, Social security Card, Birth Certificate, proof of income and non-cash benefits
