Description

Provides emergency services, crisis intervention, transitional and permanent housing to persons living with HIV/AIDS.

PLWHA are helped to move into the Transitional Housing Program, allowing them to live in a safe, secure environment for up to two years while stabilizing their lives and working towards self-sufficiency and permanent housing.  All housing clients also receive case management and other supportive services, as do HIV/AIDS clients who are not enrolled in any housing program.

In Calendar year 2017 HOPE Atlanta’s Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) Program assisted 515 homeless persons living with HIV/AIDS (352 households) with a full continuum of housing focused services including intensive case management, emergency lodging, transitional housing, and permanent supportive housing.
